Channel 4 show to examine ins and outs of moving to AustraliaPost by Cameron Davidson on 24th September 2010 in Property markets, Living abroad TV property show guru Phil Spencer will turn his attention to helping people looking to emigrate to Australia in a new series for Channel 4. Phil, co-presenter of Location, Location, Location, is to put himself into the shoes of would-be émigrés down under, and as part of the series will sample several of the occupations on various Australian states’ skilled occupations list, including pilot, miner, forester and choreographer. Channel 4 is currently hunting for eight families who are considering international relocation to Australia within the next year to join him on the show, and be the focus of one programme in the series. The show will also be talking to a number of ex-pats about how their lives have been changed by moving to Australia. Phil Spencer will put his notorious bargaining skills to good use on behalf of the families chosen to take part in helping them find exactly the type of property they are looking for, be it a trendy city apartment or rambling retreat at the back of beyond. Anyone wishing to take part should already have clearance from the Australian Foreign Investment Review Board to buy a property in the country. There is a link for anyone wishing to apply to take part in the show, which is likely to be titled Phil Down Under, on the Channel 4 website.
