UK Border Agency outlines travel advice for London 2012Post by David Elliott on 30th January 2012 in Industry news Now that the six-month mark to the start of the London Olympics has passed, the UK Border Agency has issued its top tips for people hoping to come to watch the action. It has set up a special section on its website, which lists, country-by-country, information on whether a visa is necessary, and how to go about applying for one. The Agency says that many people arriving for the Games may be able to take advantage of the new e-passport gates in place at many entry points to speed up their passage through border control. Dedicated 'Olympic lanes' will also be set up to handle athletes, coaches, officials and media workers with the correct accreditation, but the UKBA is warning people coming just to watch not to use these lanes, as they will not be allowed through. And it is directing anyone with any doubts about their rights and responsibilities while in the UK to read its 'Your stay in the UK' leaflet, which is available in PDF format from the UKBA website.
