About: Ian has been involved in international household removals for over 25 years and has worked in many different roles within the industry - driver, packer, warehouseman, telesales operative, warehouse manager, export documents admin clerk, trade sales executive, trade and export manager, international business manager, and for the last few years managing director. All these roles have been performed for Excess Baggage Company and Excess International Movers.
Ian also has wide experience within the industry generally, serving for a number of years as an executive committee member of the Movers Trading Club - an organisation which negotiates rates in bulk with global shipping lines for its members who comprise the largest volume shippers of international household shipments in the UK. Ian has also recently been co-opted to serve on the British Association of Removers Overseas Group Council.
