TOR Clearance assistance into the UK

As of January 2017 all importers moving to the UK intending to request relief under Transfer of Residence must now use the new online application form.

Application for Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-transfer-of-residence-tor-relief-tor01

The application form and supporting documents should be sent by email to the following address: nch.tor@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk

The e-mail to Customs for the ToR relief application should have your name in the subject and the scanned documents should be attached as pdf file.

Applications are usually processed within 10 working days, but there is a possibility of a backlog.

If you have not heard back from HMRC within 10 days please follow up with them via e-mail or telephone 03000588454.

You will then hear back from the Hub Office confirming you have been granted Successful Approval of ToR by HMRC by receiving a URN [Unique Reference Number] by email enabling your shipment to be Customs cleared.
Rejected ToR will then be advised that duty + VAT is payable on your goods. Please contact our office for more details if your ToR is rejected.
