When sending your international removals to India, you can choose between sea freight and air freight. Both methods have their advantages, so the best transit method for you will depend entirely on your budget and requirements. When choosing a transit option for your international removals to India, you will also want to consider your schedule and end location.
Sea freight is the most affordable option for sending international removals to India. While it is the best choice on a budget, it is slow in comparison to air freight.
There are two options for sending international removals to India via sea freight:
Shared container: If you are shipping the contents of a small apartment, flat, a small office, or even just large furniture items from your house – GRP is the best option for you. Your effects are stowed and secured within a shared container and you will only pay for the space your possessions occupy.
Exclusive container: This is the favored option for those shipping an entire home or large work offices etc. You will be charged for a 20ft or 40ft container depending on the volume of your international removals and you can fill the container how you wish.
Air freight is the fastest way to move goods worldwide from the United Kingdom. Air freight removals costs are calculated on the total weight of your load so it is rather costly. It is best if you are sending minimal items of furniture, a one-bedroom apartment, or one or two specific rooms. When removals arrive at the end destination, there are a number of options for collection or delivery. These vary in cost and transit time.
